Social Game Idea: Ambulance Chaser -- Share and Improve
It's a passive game. Here's the idea. You control an ambulance chasing lawyer. Every day he spends his time driving around looking for people who are having accidents. You don't need to drive him around or anything. It's a passive game. This just happens while you go about your business. Every so often (approximately once an hour), he sees an accident -- at which point he chases after the ambulance so that he can find the victim, and offer to sue the person responsible. His success getting the client and winning the case depends on three things:
- How fast he can drive. Can he keep up with the ambulance? The player has to choose a bike, car or motorbike and buy methods of tuning it up or adding more power.
- How attractive he is to the client. Is he wearing a nice suit? Is it pressed? Is his hair trimmed and neat? Does he have a beard? The player needs to also make sure the lawyer is attractive by buying new suits, getting it dry cleaned every so often, giving him a hair cut and manicure, etc. Of course more expensive suits mean he's more likely to win the top clients. The wealthier the client, the harder they are to impress.
- How good he is in court. You can also pay to send your lawyer on training courses, read law books, and of course he gains "experience points" by participating in and winning cases.
... And of course a chunk of luck. Every time you get and win a case you earn money, which you can invest in making your lawyer better in each of those three ways.
- See how many cases their lawyer one.
- Power up the lawyer if they can.
- Collect their earnings.
- Every so often they'll have the option to "help things along" by causing an accident. This will be like "sounding the hunter's horn" in MouseHunt.
As the player "levels up" he can visit more prestigious parts of the city, where the wealthier people live and have a wide variety of nasty, lucrative accidents.

Social Game Idea -- Graffiti Wars

Here's an idea for a game I had while thinking about clickability, gestures, and content sharing. I've just defined the concept using the "3 pillars of social game design". Anybody want to pick it up and run with it, I'd be honoured.
You can have the idea for 8,000 FBIndie dollars. But don't worry, I'll do you a loan.
Play the player is given a simple "painting" program, in which they can create any image they like. Initially, the colors and tools available to them are extremely limited -- but enough to create simple drawings and cartoons.
Express the player publishes their images, and because they created the images themselves they will want to do so and share them with their friends. Additionally, viewers of the picture can "review" it, awarding the player points that have value in the game. Players will of course want to get friends to look at the picture and give a favorable review.
Invest points awarded to the player by viewers can be used to unlock more tools and colors, enabling the player to create ever more intricate and enjoyable images -- in turn translating into more points for their creations. There's a wide range of different tool styles available for a price -- some are just ranges of colours and "traditional" paint brush tools (spray, pencil, watercolor). Others enable the player to place ready made graphics and backgrounds into their image to create a "scene" without drawing anything. Others might enable filters and effects. Basically, as the player gains points the painting program becomes more full featured.
Thoughts folks?
